Doodletopia Fairies {A Blogging for Books Review}

We’ve been enjoying Christopher Hart’s Doodletopia Books. The children have been using them to draw in and to create their own drawings, comic books and other designs.  So, I was excited to get the opportunity to review the newest entry in the Doodletopia series, Doodletopia Fairies.

This book has various steps to drawing your own fairy designs. The first chapter deals with different head positions and details, and then the second chapter moves on to drawing full fairy bodies. Once you learn how to draw bodies, there is a chapter on creating clothing and accessories for your fairy  Of course, all fairies need wings, so there’s a chapter devoted especially to drawing wings and different flying poses. There’s a short chapter on creating different personalities, a chapter devoted to magical elements in drawing and a chapter on musical instruments. The final chapter is devoted to creating different types of fairy houses.

This is a delightful entry into the series.  I felt like the drawing in this book was more difficult than the drawing in the other two books that we’ve reviewed in this series, but the children were up for the challenge, and have really enjoyed working out of this book.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
