Have you ever been brokenhearted?  Has life ever put you down? Have you ever wondered how you might move forward? Jenny Simmons has, and she wants you to know that you can be healed.  That’s the purpose of her new book Made Well: Finding Wholeness in the Everyday Sacred Moments.

In this book, Simmons tells the stories of personal tragedy and the healing of that tragedy by God.  She discusses whether or not we want to be well.  She discusses our position as beloved of God. She tells tragic stories that make me want to cry, and then follows it up with the truly humorous stories of God’s healing in completely unexpected ways.

This is in many ways more of a personal narrative or memoir style.  While beautifully written, it may not be the book for those looking for a step-by-step “do this and be well program.” However, I can guarantee that the stories in this book are beautiful and inspiring and just reading it is a piece of healing all of its own.
