After reviewing one adult coloring book and really enjoying it, I was interested enough in the coloring books to request another coloring book when I had the opportunity. to review another coloring book. This time, I received a coloring book called Wonders of Creation: Illustrations to Color and Inspire.
This book is 96 pages and almost every single one is a coloring page to color. Some are two page spreads, making this book full of coloring pages. The pages focus on animals and plant life, and vary from more realistic drawings to drawings with detailed patterns. The paper is thick, and can be colored with pencils, markers or crayons. The designs are double-sided and the pages are not perforated, making this book less likely to be friendly for certain paints and sharpie type markers.
It truly is a lovely book, and I’ve enjoyed spending a little time with it. I was hoping that there would be scripture to meditate on as I colored, but there wasn’t. That’s my only real disappointment with the book. On the other hand, my five and nine year old daughters both have asked me for turns coloring the appealing animal designs in the book. True love is letting your daughter color the highly patterned lion that you had picked out to be your first design from the book 🙂 If you’re looking for animal designs to color, this one is a great book, full of designs.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
