I’ve been looking at recipes for apple dumplings on Pinterest. There are several varieties that I’ve been thinking about trying, but this weekend, I was browsing and found one that seemed so easy that I had to try it.
First you peel, core and quarter your apples. You wrap them in crescent roll dough. For the pan size I made (9 x 13), you use four apples and 2 cans of crescent roll dough. You spray the bottom of the pan, stick them in, and sprinkle them with cinnamon.
Meanwhile, you combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup orange juice, and a stick of butter in a saucepan. You melt the butter and boil the mixture. Then, you add 1 tsp. vanilla and pour it over the pan of dumplings. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
It’s delicious! Don’t take my word for it. Make your own 😉
